Process Notes
Brief

Echo's mark responds to sound — expanding and contracting with audio amplitude in digital contexts, static in print. The idea: identity that listens. UI components inherit the same pulse logic at micro-interaction scale.

Context

The platform aggregates theatre, dance, and artist talks. Categories differ in tone; the interface could not feel like Netflix or a museum site — it needed a third register.

Response

We defined three layout modes: performance (full-bleed video), conversation (split text/video), and archive (grid). The mark animation runs only on hover and load — never loops distractingly. Dark mode is default; light mode for institutional partners.
